Not every project starts from scratch, and honestly, some of the most satisfying ones don’t.
When I walked into Oak and Shore, the bones were already there. Good furniture, a solid space. What it needed was intention. That finishing layer that takes a property from just a place to stay to somewhere guests actually want to come back to.
Working within the existing pieces and the homeowner’s budget, I brought in the details that make all the difference. Coffee table books. Thoughtful table decor. A few well-placed pieces of wall art. All new bedding that elevated the feel of every bedroom instantly. Lamps that added warmth and ambiance to every corner. Faux trees that brought life and softness into the space. And bathroom decor that made even the smallest rooms feel finished and intentional.
It’s the kind of refresh that doesn’t announce itself loudly but guests absolutely feel it. The space came alive. It felt curated, current, and warm in a way it simply didn’t before.
Sometimes good design isn’t about starting over. It’s about knowing exactly what a space needs and delivering it with intention.
